Summary

Privacy Tools, represented by the CEO of the Maven Group, Aline Deparis, was present at the My Inova Summit 2019, an event that discusses the main technological challenges for companies, which took place on August 21st and 22nd in Curitiba/PR.

On the afternoon of the 22nd (Thursday), Aline presented the group's new company during her lecture at the event, reinforcing the importance of adapting to the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), which will come into effect in August of next year. She also addressed the relevance of information security for companies today, where data is considered more valuable than oil.

Aline Deparis explains that one of the themes of My Inova was the empowerment of women as CEOs, and among the speakers were presentations by major investors such as João Kepler from Bossa Nova Investimentos and Robert Janssen from OBr.global. “Besides launching a company led by a woman, it makes perfect sense because at this moment we have a strong interest in attracting investments to help it gain rapid traction in the market, given that the law comes into effect in a year,” says the businesswoman.

The event was geared towards startups, and the CEO of Privacy Tools explains that, for this type of business, understanding the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) is fundamental. “Startups, which are looking for investors, already have added value if they know the law. They bring with them a liability, because they deal with data,” she says. According to Aline, startups should indeed adapt to the new law, mainly to avoid fines and legal issues that could impact the company itself and any investment funds.

Privacy Tools, which aims to offer solutions to help companies achieve and maintain compliance with new legislation on personal data protection. The businesswoman is also president of Assespro-RS for the 2019/2020 term.

Business Agility was the theme of the event.

In its eighth edition, the My Inova Summit chose Business Agility as its main theme for 2019. Another topic highlighted in the program was the presence of women in the technology field, with an exclusive track dedicated to discussing the careers of female professionals and entrepreneurs in the sector.

"The Paraná State Association of Technology Companies (Assespro) and the Assespro federation were exceptional in their choice of topics. Women in technology is not a new topic, but it is quite relevant. We are taking up more space in the technology field and in other areas. It's a matter of time before the market becomes more balanced. In this context, I believe the chosen topics were very relevant,” observes Aline. The CEO concludes that the approach to the subjects met expectations very well.
