Incorporate data protection into the product, process, and system from the very beginning, not afterwards.
Privacy by design is the approach that incorporates the protection of personal data from the conception of a product, service, system, or process, and by default, rather than treating it as an afterthought.
The concept was formulated by Ann Cavoukian in seven principles, including being proactive, having privacy as the default setting, and ensuring end-to-end security. In practice, this means incorporating privacy and security into requirements definition, architecture, and testing.
Article 46, § 2, of LGPD It stipulates that safety measures must be observed from the product or service design phase to its execution. Article 49 requires that the systems used in processing be structured to meet safety requirements, best practice standards, and the principles of the law. Article 25 of GDPR It addresses the same topic as data protection by design and by default.
Os Diagnoses and Assessments They apply privacy assessments to new projects and systems; Workflow It incorporates privacy review into the approval workflows; Risk management It addresses the identified risks.
