Privacy and the protection of personal data are issues that have gained prominence worldwide, amidst cases of data leaks, misuse of databases, and everything related to online exposure. According to a 2019 survey by CIGI-Ipsos with people from various countries, 53% are more concerned about privacy today than they were a year ago.
To contribute to this debate, the Privacy Tech portal was launched in September by the Brazilian company Privacy Tools. The site is one of the first in Brazil with content exclusively focused on privacy and data protection, covering the main news about new data protection legislation, data breach cases, and the actions companies have taken to guarantee user privacy. In addition, Privacy Tech publishes exclusive interviews and articles with experts in the field. Lawyer Márcio Cots and head of privacy Paulo Rogério Oliveira have already written for the site.

In addition to the news portal accessible through a browser, Privacy Tech has a free app to keep readers informed about the latest news. All the content from the website is also available on the app, which is available for Android and iOS. Both the portal and the app were developed by the technology company Maven.
