Privacy Tools co-founder and former CTO, Marison Souza, has taken on a new role within the privacy startup. Marison will refocus on operations, becoming the company's new COO (Chief Operating Officer).
"As a co-founder of the company, we always need to look at everything. One minute we're programming code, the next paying bills, the next negotiating payment plans, then conducting interviews and reviewing resumes, checking deadlines and searching for opportunities, analyzing the market and looking at social media audiences, resolving conflicts and celebrating new business deals. After several years looking at everything but prioritizing the technical area as CTO, I'm taking on the role of COO to be able to support all areas with the same dedication as before.”, commented.
Marison states that she will continue programming in her spare time, which has become a hobby, but professionally she will prioritize management and rely on the support of the Privacy Tools technology team.
The new COO is a software architect with extensive experience in highly complex, secure, and innovative projects, having been responsible for important projects in companies and organizations such as TSE, Grupo RBS, TCU, among others. He has knowledge of Open Source technologies and has been working in the market of development, research, creation, and architecture of systems for 18 years.
The focus will be on the startup's operations.
As COO of Privacy Tools, Marison will work directly with the executive board and support the sales team in prospecting new clients, the technology team in creating new solutions, and the marketing team in communicating the brand.
The company remains under the leadership of CEO Aline Deparis, a Systems Administrator by training with over 16 years of experience in the IT sector. Aline served as President of Assespro-RS (2019/2020) and is part of the board of Maven Inventing and a member of the Fiscal Council of iColab.
