The security of the processed data and the adequacy of internal processes is the greatest advantage perceived in the company's adaptation to the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).
A pioneer in Brazil in partner integration and business community development, eSales is yet another company that has decided to join Privacy Tools in pursuit of security regarding the fundamental rights of freedom and privacy, through the General Data Protection Law – LGPD.
According to eSales' Chief Security Officer (CSO), Rudimar Grass, the first months of adapting to the LGPD requirements were focused on learning the platform and the law. "We relied on the support and sales team from Privacy Tools to ensure everything happened as quickly as possible within the platform, while simultaneously training our employees with Data Protection Officer certifications," he emphasized.
DPO and three teams involved in the implementation.
After that period, according to Grass, the process occurred naturally. "We continued with our Data Protection Officer (DPO) and the Information Security area managing the Privacy Tools platform, handling data subject requests, and monitoring updates to processes and new data processing," he added.
The integration process directly involved the infrastructure, development, information security, and DPO teams. However, CSO Rudimar Grass emphasizes that all sectors assisted in the process to ensure the complete mapping of the entire data processing cycle within eSales.
"Implementing security management is vital."
Analyzing the biggest challenge for data protection in the technology field, Grass cites the adaptation of legacy software and databases. "Because they are older technologies, adaptation is more complex, costly, and can sometimes compromise application performance," he notes.
"Therefore, implementing effective information security management, which includes palliative security measures to ensure the protection of data processed in legacy environments, is vital for any and all companies," concludes the CSO of eSales.
Technology and security side by side.
